Bring your drugs, baby; I can bring my pain.

It's 2013.  And this is the year of streamlining.  Minimizing.  Organizing.  I decided to become vegetarian in early December and I've stuck with it since.  I'm currently watching Vegucated, which is a documentary following three New York natives who agree to attempt a vegan lifestyle for six weeks.  They actually go into detail on some of the terrible things that occur at meat, dairy, and egg farms…and it is literally heartbreaking.  It has me seriously considering the idea of going vegan…because is vegetarian enough?  Just as many horrible things happen at dairy and egg farms.  And in the end, the animals that provide milk and eggs are destroyed.  I'm not trying to kid myself, though…becoming a vegetarian has been hard.  Vegan is hard x 1000.  But it may be something I can be consciously aware of from now on.

We've also begun renovations on the house.  We're anticipating tearing down a closet in order to open up the living room and dining room area.  Also, hardwood floors and repainting everything.  Today, we  painted the front door black and I cleaned out the Tiburon.  I got a new potted plant for the front porch and tomorrow we'll look for another cushion for the rocking chair and a welcome mat.

Ballet starts again tomorrow, but I don't know if I'm going to make it since Rick will have my car and I won't be able to run errands until he gets off work.
